Baking Preparation: Thaw at room temperature for 10-20 minutes and bake as your recipe directs (example: for a no bake pie, bake at 400 degrees F for 10-14 min). For single crust pies or quiches: 1. Preheat oven according to your recipe*. 2. Remove pie shells from freezer, allow to thaw (10-20 min). 3. Pour filling into shell, and bake as recipe directs. * Do not eat raw pie dough. For double crust pies: 1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 in single crust instructions*. 2. Pour filling into shell, brush edge with water or beaten egg. 3. Take second shell out of pan, invert over pie filling, press edges together to seal. 4. Cut a few slits in the top shell to allow steam to vent. 5. Bake as recipe directs. * Do not eat raw pie dough. For no bake pie recipes: 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F*. 2. Remove pie shells from freezer, allow to thaw (10-20 min). 3. Prick sides and bottom of shell with a fork. 4. Bake pie shell 10-14 min, until golden brown appears around edges. * Do not eat raw pie dough. General Tip: To repair any cracks, allow pie shell to thaw slightly, moistens edges with water and run your finger along the crack to mend it. Helpful Hints: Always place pie shell on a baking sheet before filling. Baking instructions should be used as a guideline. Times and temperatures may vary.
