Since cooking appliances vary, these instructions are guidelines only. Skillet Instructions: Brown 1 pound lean ground beef in a 10 inch skillet and drain. Stir in 1/2 cup hot water, 2-1/4 cups 2% milk (add milk slowly), sauce mix and uncooked pasta. Heat to boiling; stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Remove from heat and uncover. Let stand 3-5 minutes (sauce will thicken as it stands). Microwave Instructions: Crumble 1 pound lean ground beef into 3 quart microwaveable casserole or bowl. Microwave uncovered on high, 3 to 6 minutes breaking up beef halfway through, until brown. Drain. Stir in 1/2 cup boiling water, 2-1/4 cups 2% milk, uncooked pasta and sauce mix. Microwave uncovered 15 to 20 minutes; stirring every 5 minutes, until pasta is tender.
