SIXTO is the Chardonnay-focused project from Winemakers Charles Smith and Brennon Leighton. Inspired by the story of musician SIXTO Rodriguez (featured in the documentary, “Searching for Sugar Man”), Charles similarly wanted to resurrect something that was always great, but was waiting to be rediscovered, as in old Chardonnay vines in Washington State.
- SIXTO wines focus exclusively on old-vine Chardonnay from higher elevation, cool-climate vineyards throughout Washington
- Produced in Washington State by Winemaker Charles Smith
- Flavors of apple, honey, lemon curd, citrus, licorice and toast
- Native yeast fermentation and 17 months barrel-aged on lees
