Lingua Franca Avni Pinot Noir Red Wine reflects the optimal growing conditions of the 2023 season. This Oregon Pinot Noir opens with aromas of plum, pomegranate, bergamot, and rose. It reveals velvety tannins and fresh acidity, with flavors of graphite, black tea, plum, and clove, followed by a long, juicy finish. The fruit for this Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is hand-harvested from Lingua Franca’s LSV vineyard, the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, the Van Duzer Corridor, as well as the Mt. Pisgah region. After fermentation, the wine is aged in 25% new French 500-, 600-, and 3,200-liter casks. It completes aging sur lie around 11 months, with an additional 3 months in tank. Voluptuous, complex, and made for shared conversation and enjoyment, it is an excellent Pinot Noir for gifts and special occasions.
